Now obviously I don’t wear Skechers work shoes for men but I have numerous colleagues and friends that do and my husband Peter wears these shoes for his work as a courier, so I will be drawing on their experiences for this review here today. I have also been researching these shoes for about the last seven days to be able to give you a comprehensive break down of the features, design, benefits and drawbacks (pros and cons) of each of the shoes I am going to be recommending here today. I hope this will be of benefit to you.

If you do suffer with sore feet and back pain please check out the other posts on my site, as there is a lot of information on things that you can do and actions you can take to help to alleviate your pain and discomfort.

Here today, I would solely like to focus on reviewing the best selection of Skechers work shoes for men. In my previous review post where I reviewed the best Skechers nursing shoes for women, I included a buying guide at the bottom of the post with information and tips on what to take into consideration when buying nursing shoes. So without further ado here is my review.

Best Nursing Shoes For Men – Skechers Work Shoes For Men Review

1. Skechers Flex Advantage 2.0 Men Outdoor Multisport Shoes

These shoes are my number one recommendation for shoes for male nurses as these are used by a couple of my colleagues and friends who are nurses and my husband Peter who works as a courier who suffers with foot pain.

These shoes are made of a synthetic outer material and have a textile inner material and have an EVA sole ( EVA – Ethylene Vinyl Acetate is a dense foam which has been designed to be an incredible shock absorber )These shoes have a lace up fastening design and a padded collar and tongue for added stability. The padded collar and tongue provide great support and cushioning to the sides of the heel, the upper heel and the top of the foot.

They also have a flex sole shock absorbing midsole and a flexible rubber traction outsole. The flex sole shock absorbing midsole absorbs a lot of the stresses we put our feet through over a shift and works with the natural movement of the foot and the rubber traction outsole is great for ensuring we have good traction and help with slip resistance as we work in an environment where this must be a consideration.

These shoes also come with what is one of my favourite features with Skechers shoes the Air cooled memory foam insole. This insole moulds to the shape of the bottom of your foot to give support and cushioning to exactly where you need it, I believe that this is one of the major factors in helping my husband Peter in managing his foot pain.

Pros – Extremely comfortable and lightweight, stylish design and look, air cooled memory foam insole moulds to the foot for added support and cushioning. Eva sole for amazing shock absorption. They offer all round great support and cushioning and are very flexible which helps the natural movement of the foot. These shoes also adhere to most hospitals / Health care facilities dress code policies. It is always worth remembering though that if your workplace allows it you can get this shoe in many more colourful styles and designs.

Cons – Not waterproof so will not protect you if your in an environment where there are a lot of fluid spills.

As mentioned above this is my number one recommendation for shoes for male nurses. My friend and colleague wears these as they are just so comfortable, also due to the air cooled memory foam insole these shoes have helped my husband Peter to manage his foot pain. Its worth mentioning that these shoes are a regular fit and Peter is quite wide in the ball and toe area of the foot and these shoes fit him well.

2. Skechers Men’s Go Walk 4 Low top Sneakers

These shoes are another top recommendation as I have colleagues who use these shoes ( both male and female ) and they have said that due to the extremely lightweight nature of these shoes it almost feels as if they are wearing slippers. They also have a GOGA MAX foot bed which gives high rebound to energize every step you take and a highly responsive 5 gen midsole which gives amazing cushioning.

They have a synthetic outer material and a textile inner material with a padded collar and tongue with a soft fabric lining and lace up closure. All this gives extra cushioning and support to the foot and makes these shoes super comfortable. They also have an EVA sole which as I’ve previously stated are fantastic for shock absorption. Because of the design of these shoes and the midsole cushioning these will help those of you who suffer with Plantar Fasciitis and sore feet.

I have been told that these shoes can run a little big, and one of my colleagues has told me that he wished he had ordered a half size down. It is worth remembering though that your feet naturally swell throughout the day so if you’re on feet for a full 12.5 hour shift they will be a little larger at the end of the day so take this into consideration when choosing your size.

Pros – Radically lightweight and extremely comfortable with a stylish look and design. These shoes meet most Healthcare Facilities and hospitals dress code requirements ( again it is worth remembering that if your work place allows it you can get these shoes in many more colourful and stylish designs ). The GOGA MAX foot bed and 5 gen midsole gives great support, cushioning and high rebound which makes them great for people suffering with sore feet and Plantar Fasciitis. This is also the case with the EVA sole which is amazing for shock Absorption. These shoes wipe clean easily.

Cons – Even those these shoes wipe clean this doesn’t make them waterproof so they may not be suitable if your job involves your feet coming into contact with a lot of fluid spills.

3. Skechers for work 77302 Felton Resistant Relaxed-Fit Work Shoe

These shoes are made in the relaxed – fit design for a roomier and more comfortable fit. They have a synthetic leather outer material with reinforced stitched seams. They also have a padded collar and tongue, soft fabric shoe lining and front, side, and heel overlays which all gives extra support and cushioning to the top and sides of the foot.

They have a supportive shock absorbing midsole and the sole is a gum rubber design so it is great for working in places where you are constantly in contact with fluid spills. ( for example restaurants, Kitchens, hospitals and healthcare facilities ) The synthetic leather outer (upper included ) design of these shoes will protect your feet from fluids and water seeping through and this also means that these shoes are wipe clean so you can expect them to last and clean easily.

They have a relaxed – fit memory foam insole which moulds to the shape of your foot which gives an extra layer of cushioning and support. These shoes will offer you a greater all round protection than the flex advantage and the Go Walk 4. You will not get wet feet with these shoes. They also meet non-slip safety standard requirements even when working on wet and oily surfaces and are rated as an electrical hazard safe design.

Pros – They have added support and cushioning thanks to the relaxed – fit memory foam insole, supportive shock absorbing midsole and padded collar and tongue. The leather upper and surround will protect your feet all day and prevent them from getting wet. These shoes conform to all safety requirements and regulations in relation to slip resistance and working near electrical hazards. They are also incredibly light for a safety shoe and weigh in at a similar weight to the Go Walk 4 and the Flex advantage 2.0.

Cons – Because of the gum rubber sole there can be a tendency for these shoes to be noisy at times and squeak on certain surfaces.

4. Skechers For Work Men’s Resterly Work Shoe

These shoes are made of a smooth leather and synthetic upper design with reinforced stitched seams and synthetic overlays at the heel and toe. They also have a padded collar and soft fabric lining. These features give added support and cushioning to the top and the sides of the foot and heel. They also have dual side elastic fabric panels for an easy slip on fit.

They have a lightweight shock absorbing supportive midsole with an air cooled memory foam insole which moulds to the shape of your foot and this provides an extra layer of support and cushioning, which makes these shoes extremely comfortable. They also come with a Skechers slip resistant traction outsole and have been electrical hazard safety tested and conform to safety regulations for working in areas where there are electrical hazards and where there is regular contact with slippery surfaces.

Due to the leather design of these shoes they are wipe clean so if you are at risk of coming into contact with fluid spills ( such as vomit, blood, other bodily fluids ) then they will clean easily and won’t ruin the shoe.

These shoes are suitable if you require ( either through dress code requirements or personal preference ) a more formal looking work shoe whilst still retaining the comfort of the other shoes I have featured in this review. One of the doctors on my ward swears by these shoes as they are very comfortable and extremely lightweight so fit his needs perfectly.

Pros – They have added support and cushioning thanks to the air cooled memory foam insole, lightweight shock absorbing midsole and padded collar. Because of the leather design of the shoe they will prevent your feet from getting wet from fluid spills and wipe clean easily. They have been tested and conform to safety regulations for slip resistance and working in an environment that may contain electrical hazards. These shoes are easy slip on/off are extremely lightweight and have a very stylish look and design.

Cons – I have been hard-pressed to find any cons with these shoes. I will say though they are slightly pricier than the other shoes I have recommended here today but they do come highly recommended.

You can never seem to go wrong with Skechers. They offer a great variety of shoes and the comfort is just like owning any other top brand shoe. I use to wear a pair of Skechers when I word at a production plant and they really do offer great support when you are on your feet all day.

Thanks for sharing this, always helps to have a great place to get the best and most comfy shoes in one place!

Thanks Ning, Skechers do indeed rock! and although they were designed originally with sport in mind they are amazing for many occupations and walks of life.

      Have a great day

As a Personal Trainer I too am on my feet sometimes more than 10 hours/day. The human body was not made to be on hard services that long in a day, so I practice a lot of the stretches and exercises found here. I have been known to do 35-40k steps in a day so cheap shoes just don’t cut it. Skechers are very good for knocking around the house or the gym. Thank you for being a nurse. Teaching, nursing, and being a Personal Trainer lol are some of the most thankless jobs around. Relaxation techniques you talked about are very good. I read all the posts and comments. Very enjoyable website. You might want to add some pricing is about all I looked for that was hard to find.

Hey Mark all I can say is WOW! 35-40k steps a day is more than most people in a week. I’m glad you liked the site and agree with the content I have posted. I will be adding the prices to the shoes and products I have reviewed very shortly. I’ve never even thought about how any steps a personal trainer would do in a day. Puts me to shame with my 15k-17.5k.

      Have a great day
